Nilam Damodar has spent the last 20 years immersed in the fashion industry. From a young age her spirit of enterprise led her to start her fashion career by supplying Indian handbags to boutiques in Lisbon, followed by launching a Goa-based brand in Brussels. After her marriage, she moved to Mumbai and joined Ensemble, a pioneer in luxury retail in India, as their store manager and merchandiser, later going on to oversee five of their stores. She has had the opportunity to work closely with the most renowned designers of the country like Tarun Tahiliani, Shahab Durazi, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi to name a few.

Beige has been her long standing dream that finally came to fruition in February 2020.  Her vision for Beige, influenced by her childhood in Portugal, is to bring affordable yet exclusive European fashion to a discerning clientele in India.
